How easy and how convenient is it for us to blame everything and everybody for the things that we have gone on in our lives? There is such thing as you being a positive and a great person with the best of intentions towards everybody, and shit is rough and you just can’t get a break. But most of you, most of you are waking up every day looking for pain, dysfunction, drama. Unemployment is being broken.
Struggling. Dropping every excuse in the book about your childhood and the problems and dysfunction that you grew up in that stop you from becoming successful. You don’t like your friend, so why are you still fucking with them? You don’t trust your managers, agents, and lawyers. So why are they still there? Do you really expect your life and career to be any different from messing with the same things, people, and situations? That’s all I’m saying.
Always something there to build a case on why you can’t move on, why you can’t go to the next level, why you can’t begin to manifest your greatness, why you can’t begin to live life on your terms. Always something there to block you, to keep you where you are, and keep you from beginning to develop your true greatness. Always some fear.
How do we handle it? And I’m saying that if you’ve been hiding out behind, but if you’ve been using the fact that you don’t have enough money or you don’t have the education, take it head-on, go get the education.
You have to decide to live a life where excuses are not something that you’re going to do to give yourself a pass. You’ve got to say I’m going to do this because it has meaning for you. It has value for you. And one of the ways in which to operate. Moving your life forward so that it would be an excuse-free life is by saying this to yourself. Do what you know, not what you feel. See, a lot of people know what they need to do.
But you know what we do most of the time we say, Well, I don’t feel like it. Now, when you operate like that, you’re operating at a lower level. Decide, Don’t give yourself a pass. No excuse is acceptable. Do what you know, not what you feel and you will manifest your greatness. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
See, a lot of people pretend that they want more out of life, but all you have to do is watch their actions. People tell you, Oh yeah, one day I want to have a restaurant. See, they’re pretending. They want to go into business for themselves. They’re not serious. How can you tell? Let’s watch their actions? Watch what they’re doing.
The proof is in the pudding. So if you want to do something, if you thought about something you want to do, take it head-on. Decide that you’re going to start looking at it. Start doing research and start tackling it. Stop becoming involved in whatever and wherever it might lead you to begin to explore the possibilities in that particular thing that you’re seeking so that you can begin to learn all you can about it. What happens is about the same, you might put that in parentheses here. Same as what people do. That’s what’s different. Everything can happen, anything can happen, but it’s not happening. It’s what you do about it.
Somebody says, yeah, but you don’t understand the disappointments I’ve had. Come on. Decide that you’re going to face it, that whatever shortcomings you have that you’re going to strengthen yourself there, whatever training is required that you’re going to go get that training, that you’re going to get started right now.
The George Washington Carver would say, do what you can where you are and what you have and never be satisfied. Always strive to be more than that, which you are, yeah, don’t get satisfied with yourself. Always know that wherever you are, you can enjoy more than you deserve. Most of us go through life pretending, pretending that we’re satisfied where we are pretending that everything is OK, pretending that we don’t have any special goals or ambitions or desires when really deep down inside, we do really want more. But most people, you know, they do. Most people go through life quietly and safely tiptoe into an early great. Find out what it is you want and go after it as if your life depends on it. Why? Because it does.
The chronic excuse maker. How do you stop making excuses? This is actually pretty simple. And I said it the other day, and you have to realize you have to know. You have to accept that all your excuses are lies. They are lies. All of them. Think about the things that you tell yourself, the lies you use to rationalize taking the easy road. Taking the easy road and leaving discipline behind. Think about them. You don’t have time. That’s a lie. You don’t have support. That’s a lie. You don’t have the equipment or the gear. Wise, you don’t know the best way. Who cares? That’s a lie, or you’re too old or you’re too young.
Of course, you’re too old or too young. Lie. And there’s you’re too busy, sure, you are. That’s a lie. And you’re too tired or you’re too sore or you’re just plain not feeling it. Lies, lies, lies. Then the list goes on and on and on. And it doesn’t stop if you don’t make it stop. So recognize. Recognize the excuses are not valid. They aren’t, they’re trumped up. They’re conjured up, they’re fabricated, they’re lies. And how do you stop the lies? You stop the lies with the truth. The truth, the truth will set you free. The truth will stand, and the truth will deliver you from procrastination and laziness and the downward spiral that comes with a lack of discipline. So don’t believe the lies, believe the truth, and the truth is you have time. You have the skill. You have the knowledge and the support and the willpower and the discipline to get it done. So. Cast out the lies. Burn them down. And listen to the truth and live the truth and go out and get it done.
Stop being a lazy bum as a person that’s full of excuses, sitting around on the pity party, coming up with every excuse in the world as to why you ain’t winning. You are the reason you’re not winning. You keep messing with negative, evil, and dysfunctional people and expecting positive results. It’s time you get off to a pity party. Stop complaining about being out of shape when you never go to the gym. Stop looking at your stomach when you get out of the shower and your body and complaining about the way you look when you’re eating everything in sight and never going to the gym. You are the reason you look, the way you look.
You are the reason you’re unemployed. You are the reason why your surroundings are so dysfunctional and negative you could still be in the hood broke and fucked up and living a peaceful life. It’s a choice. We are being raised in a generation of people that come up with every excuse in the book as to why they are not winning. You have every excuse in the book, why you’re not spending time with your kids, fathers talking to you. Because you’re able to create a child doesn’t mean that you’re a father. It doesn’t mean that you understand the concept of fatherhood. It’s time to stop coming up with excuses why five, six, seven months, and even years have gone by without you seeing your child. It’s wrong, and it’s only the kids that are suffering in the end.
